    I would definitely recommend Gps Moving company to someone in need of an out of state moving company. They were very considerate in moving about my home and carefully packed my items in preparation for the move. I was most impressed by how quickly they got the job done. Best moving service to hire out.

    I had not worked with GPS Moving and Storage before but the praises my friend accorded them gave me an idea of what to expect. After making enquiries from their sales personnel, we agreed on the job details and he promised to send their movers on the agreed date. On the moving day, the moving team arrived at my house at 8am sharp with everything necessary to relocate me. The whole moving process was smooth and took such a short time. Now I can also recommend them.

    AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. This company will give you a “GUARANTEED PRICE” and then show up the day of your move and charge you thousands of dollars more than that. They will treat your belongings like crap, they will be late upon delivering them to your home, and they will tell you they offer a “white glove delivery service” prior to scheduling your move, but they will then merely dump your boxes at your house and claim that they in fact do not offer a White Glove Delivery Service. Here’s our story:
    Abe from GPS movers arrived to our house, and after conducting what he claimed to be a thorough investigation into our belongings, gave us a “GUARANTEED PRICE.” That price, in addition to the “White Glove” delivery service were the two things that made us choose GPS over the countless other moving companies that were available to us. I put both of those phrases in quotations because the company failed to deliver BOTH services. On the moving day, the “GUARANTEED PRICE” miraculously went up nearly $3,000. TWO of the movers that showed up clearly had never even conducted a move before, as I heard Abe explain to them how to pack boxes. And, of course, they did not learn while they were moving us; we found loose knives, matches and match boxes, and shattered glass in our boxes. Some of our most valuable furniture items (an antique coffee table and a large wall mirror) WERE NOT EVEN WRAPPED IN ANYTHING AT ALL. More than 20 boxes were unmarked/unlabeled. And it took them nearly 9 hours to complete this sloppy move. Oh, and we found half a dozen items left in our driveway/carport, the result of a careless rush to leave our home once they were “finished” packing us.
    Meanwhile, the company told us we could reach out 1 month prior to when we wanted our belongings; GPS Moving & Storage delivered our things nearly three weeks after that date. The movers arrived at 5 p.m. on a Saturday evening and claimed that they were NOT to unpack our things, but merely drop off the boxes.
    While we spend nearly 10 hours unpacking our things, we were horrified to see the damages that had occurred to our belongings under the care of GPS Moving & Storage – more than $1,000 worth. I called Abe that night to explain my frustration, not only about the fact that they lied about offering White Glove Service, but because the ENTIRE MOVE, from the day he showed up at our house and looked us in the eye with a price, to the day our things arrived across the county packaged in the most amateur, dangerous way, was a NIGHTMARE. And he couldn’t even utter as much as an apology to us. I seek to warn ALL prospective customers against using this company.

    I’ve had to move several times in the past, and gone with other companies that claim they have great customer satisfaction, but had nothing but headaches. This time I went with GPS moving and storage to try something new, and I didn’t have a headache at all. The movers provided me with a worry-free moving service that I couldn’t find elsewhere when I had to make previous moves. Save yourself the headache and go with this great moving service.

    This was the best experience I had with any moving company ever. They were extremely professional protected and wrapped every piece of furniture, broke down the furniture appropriately for wrapping, were super nice and took care in delivering and placing the furniture into our new home. These guys are by far the best moving company I have ever worked with , quick, efficient, communicative and super reasonable with their prices. I would recommend GPS Moving and Storage them as many times as i could.

    I moved using GPS Moving and Storage this weekend and I cannot imagine a more pleasant moving experience. Guys showed up exactly when they said they would. The guys took a quick look around the apartment and got right to work. There was no quibbling over minor things I had left out or described inaccurately on the phone. There was just friendly, efficient, professional service. In the end, they charged me exactly what they said they would. I was happy to pay it, because I know I got my money’s worth. I would recommend them to everyone. We hope to never to have to move again, but if we do, it will be with them.

    WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I will outline our experience with GPS. Vanessa was our account coordinator and did a good job assisting us with obtaining a quote for our move from San Diego to New York City. I probably requoted about 2 or 3 times and she turned a quote around to us in a timely manner each time. After final quote our cost was about $3300. Day of move the movers arrived on time and there were about 5 movers tasked to move our boxes and furniture. Movers were professional and from what I could see did a good job loading and unloading and respecting items that were marked glass or fragile. Our box count was over what was quoted so our moving cost was raised to about $3700 which was fair based on the assessment done by the movers. Our items were picked up 7/30/2018 and I was told by the movers that our items would be delivered within 7 – 14 days. The reason we would not recommend GPS is due to not receiving our items until 9/5/2018 (37 days later).
    In the time between we would check in with Abe to see why our items weren’t in transit. The first time my wife called he would not let her talk and just spoke over her and hung up on her. Second time my father called to see if there would be any offer of compensation for late delivery (We were estimated 7-14 days by our movers but our contract outlined that delivery could take up to 21 business days, this was still not met). Abe said it was our fault because he was unable to book our service elevator in our building to deliver on the 21st business day. The problem is that he was sent information a week and a half before then that said he would need to book the elevator a week in advanced. He tried to book it the night before on labor day weekend (yeah good luck with that). We told Abe that the items were late due to his inability to deliver on time but he continued to say there would be no compensation, not his fault. We told him that we were planning on writing an honest review and was not happy with the service we were receiving and he viewed it as a threat and said he would not be threatened.
    Day of delivery was ok. We had 3 movers that had to double park their truck so we were forced to put a deposit down for a parking ticket before the move. We were only charged extra for distance to move from truck to elevator but within the contract terms this was fair. By the time our items arrived we were missing a few things (1 box, shelf inserts to our tv stand, and a laundry basket with our bed comforter in it). The missing box was found to still be in San Diego and was shipped over. The items had to be packaged into new boxes since the original was thrashed and destroyed in their possession. When we received our shipped items our $300 Bluetooth speaker was missing. It was in the box when GPS took possession so clearly this was stolen when repackaged or lost by them. At least who ever stole it was nice enough to leave the charger for it behind in the box. Overall poor experience due to time it took to receive our times and items stolen. I would recommend trying a different company.

    This is, by far, the absolute worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They were supposed to be at my house between 9 and 11am. I got a call at 1030 telling me they’d be there between 1130 and 12. 1230 rolls around and they aren’t there and there was no call. We called them and were told they were on their way. They arrived almost 1.5 hours after. AFTER WE CALLED THEM.

    Abe was awful. All of a sudden we had pages of items that never made their list, even though it was fully discussed, and they were charging us for all of it. It took them HOURS to load everything, even though they said it wouldn’t take long. The guys that came to the house were great, just slow.

    We were told to expect our stuff the following Tuesday. It didn’t show up. They had no date for us. A week later and it hadn’t even left yet. It arrived almost 3 weeks later. They gave us a time they’d be here… they were late.

    Then they said they wouldn’t go upstairs without an additional $75. We had boxes ripped, glassware broken, a dresser totaled, another dresser damaged our PIANO is broken, a floor lamp is missing its top and is bent, missing screws so our kitchen table isn’t usable and they STOLE work tools from my husband that we watched them pack on the truck.

    They left a ridiculous mess of plastic wrap and tape, refusing to clean it up.

    These people are terrible. We’ve called them 3 times today before finding out they’re closed on weekends. Which makes no sense. Do not have your movers working on a day your office is closed. Specifically for issues like these.

    We will be fighting them tooth and nail to repair the damage they’ve caused. We paid them over $5000 and this is the treatment we get?

    GPS Moving made sure all my valuables reach my new house in great shape. They certainly had the right tools and the correct attitude for the job. The movers were very punctual and their customer service was very promising as well. The quote I got initially was very low considering the other estimates given by different companies. The final bill came under the estimate which made me so happy. None of my things suffered a single scratch and I was very impressed. I highly recommend GPS Moving.

    We are happy to recommend GPS movers at the end of our great ‘adventure’. Life is full of enough challenges, but in our situation, we weren’t sure where we were going, exactly when we were going, how long we were going….etc. In summary, it was overwhelming. From the very beginning, Tammy and everyone calmly endured every question, every panic attack, and helped make sense of things. On moving day, the movers were very careful of things and wrapped our ‘stuff’ with remarkable efficiency. Unexpectedly, it was after an entire year of having all in storage that we finally revisited our things. Once again, timetables changed at the last minute, more than once, and once again Tammy and the crew rose to the occasion and somehow that truck came at the designated time to our designated location and our ‘stuff’ was unloaded. Things were assembled and placed as directed, and the crew remained amiable throughout. Dealing with Tammy and Abe and their people made our situation tolerable. By now we consider them friends (if not family!) and are very grateful for their personal attention and guidance.

    We decided to relocate from San Diego CA to Houston Texas. Since I was funding my move getting a reliable and good movers at the right price was very important for us. We had tried for several weeks calling so many moving companies and had many come to my house and do estimates and finally almost finalized with one when at the last minute just 1 week before the date we were supposed to vacate our apartment, that moving company came back saying that I need more cubic feet space for my house..blah blah..and quoted at least $1000 more than what was agreed. It was like they knew I had no time and could make me pay extra.

    It was at the time that I found an old email quote from GPS Moving & Storage and decided to give them a call. We got a much better pricing on moving from San Diego CA to Houston TX. Monica from GPS was very helpful and provided exact estimates just based on inventory item photographs send to her via email. The pricing was so good that I decided to get a quote for additional months of storage. Its a general theory that moving companies charge a lot for storage but it was not true with GPS Moving & Storage. I got an awesome monthly rate for storage.

    On the day of the move the GPS guys came on time, did an awesome job at packing all the stuff nicley, fragile items were properly crated, all mattress were crated properly. I was afraid of all the rumor that now the items would be lost, damaged or stolen..etc..that I had been reading through many reviewer experiences. Anyway I decided to leave that to my GOD. We brought a home after 3.5 months of moving to TX and it was finally time to get our stuff back. I called Monica/GPS and provided our new address and were all exicited about all our stuff coming finally. I was worried whether if the mattresses or TV were damaged we would have to invest so much more to now recover from this move. GPS Moving threw all my fears away when the things came and the guys did an awesome job in installing all the items properly. Not a single item was lost or damaged or stolen or anything. I just thank GOD for pointing me to GPS moving and storage company at the last minute and it was truly the best decision I made. I would always recommend GPS moving and storage to anybody and everybody who is looking for long distance moving and storage needs at the best pricing out there.

    We recently moved from CA to TN. I contacted several moving companies and chose GPS.
    I am very happy that I did.
    Tammy was great. She walked me on the phone to decides what we would be moving.
    The estimate was surprisingly accurate. The final price was very fair.
    There were a few schedule changes necessary due to changing closing dates on my home.
    Tammy always did her best to accommodate. Her earlier reviews that I read were right on.
    However the ones on the drivers and helpers were dead wrong. Different groups on each side of move and
    they were both outstanding. Hard working and caring teams that did a great job. Nothing broken or lost.
    They were all very professional and very friendly.
    I highly recommend GPS to everyone!

    I give GPS Moving a Five Star rating! The entire staff, moving team and truck driver helped me through a very emotional cross country move.
    After only a few days of the unexpected death of my mother, I had to arrange the move of her antique bedroom set and other miscellaneous items from San Diego CA to Northern VA. Being prior military, I never had to select movers and I really didn’t have time to go through a lengthy interview process. I had to have my mother’s things out of her retirement apartment very quickly. From the moment I spoke to Tammy on the phone and explained my urgency GPS delivered. I was a bit thrown off by them accepting only cash or US Postal Money Order’s on delivery, but once Tammy explained why they have this procedure in place, it made perfect sense to me.
    The packing team arrived on time and meticulously wrapped each piece of furniture. Tammy was extremely patient as I kept calling back adding items because I kept finding things of my mother’s that I could not part with during the move. After all was loaded onto the local truck, I was assured my items would be kept at GPS Moving’s warehouse until loaded onto the semi to come east. This was a HUGE plus for me, because all the damage I have had in past military moves was when my items were stored by separate companies.
    The truck driver called me twice while in route to Virginia at which time we discussed access into my neighborhood for his truck and available parking. The driver reminded me of the payment options, which I thought was helpful even though I had already secured my US Postal Money Orders. The truck driver and co-rider arrived within the time frame they gave me and quickly and carefully unloaded all my items. I am also very pleased to announce NOTHING was damaged!
    I would highly recommend GPS Moving to anyone who wants an honest, professional and safe move.

    I never moved across the country before… I made sure I did my homework. I posted a request online for a moving quote and received dozens of calls. I narrowed it down to 2 moving companies that were A rated on the BBB and GPS was one of them.
    Tammy was such a delight to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable and informative. I needed a lot of help packing as this was a fully furnished 4 bedroom home we lived in for the past 12 years. The crew arrived on time and work non stop.  It was a real pleasure to see these young men take pride in the work they did. 
    The price was reasonable, with no hidden fees, and most importantly all of my possessions arrived in a timely manner and in perfect condition.

    These guys are a scam. They will steal your stuff and if you follow up, they will ask you to file a claim and pay 60 cents per pound. If you need a proof go to their website. they proudly display “U.S. Commerce Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement”. Search for this on the web and you will find that this award is a sham. Read feedback on yelp / BBB. Only place you will find a decent review is at which again is a scam where a business can put in their own feedback.

    My move with GPS moving and storage was a pleasant experience. Moving your household across the country is a monumental task logistically, emotionally, physically, and mentally. Working with Tammy was a delight. She is so well organized, respectful, and knowledgeable about every aspect of the moving process. My movers came to my house in southern CA at their scheduled time even after I changed the date of the move at the last minute! The movers were great. Michael went over every item in the inventory and he and his two helpers wrapped all my furniture very carefully. I stored all my belongings for a month and when it was time for them to be delivered to FL, everything arrived in excellent condition in a timely manner. All through the process, GPS returned every phone call the same day. I would recommend GPS to anyone who is moving long distance. There is so much to deal with, it was wonderful not having to worry about my belongings or the moving company I hired. GPS was great.
