    I’m very happy with how my move turned out. They were very professional and thorough. They checked in with me consistently throughout the move about my items. I had a lot of little bags and both were second story moves. They finished very close to the three hour mark. They worked consistently and worked very hard. Thank you.

    The booking process was also really straightforward. After I filled out the estimated inventory of our apartment online, it only took one quick phone call and an email to confirm. They even beat a quote I had from another company.

    Ripoff! Do not use. Loaders stole items and broke tv. Promised to deliver in three days in quote but took 21! No voicemail system available. Poor customer service. Company tried to charge my credit card 5 times AFTER I paid them!!!! Do yourself a favor. Use someone else or you’ll wind up in court like me!

    Oh my god, have hired this company has been one of the most horrifying experiences I’ve had in my life, in first place they lie when giving an estimate, an estimate generally have a margin of error of no more than 10 percent, to be called estimate, not a 100.00% of error, that is no longer estimate, is called “Lie”.
    Secondly they never tell you that you have to pay 15% tip “Mandatory”, or the payment of tolls.
    Third, they never tell you that any delay due to the driver or workers fault, is loaded to your time.
    They ask for a percentage by phone through your credit card, and 50% of the remaining amount on the day of the move (the estimate), and 50 percent when all your stuff have been moved to your new home. This is a lie, with all your belongings inside the truck, you are asked to pay a total new estimate (around 3 more hours) before unload, otherwise all your stuff will be left on the street.
    The workers let you know that you have to pay a good tip all the time, even if you pay the 15% if you do not give at least the double of that they lose the energy and make the work slower to ultimately have to pay more.
    They do not use proper tools, they cut the adhesive tapes with keys, I had to lend screwdrivers and others tools. They don’t have proper equipment to carry the furniture, so the furniture may get damaged.
    Finally, after paying double the estimate, then the driver lost almost an hour of my time arguing with a tenant because he parked the truck on a driveway in front of a parking exit, blocking her who wanted enter. When I called Mr. Gene (the manager) to explain what’s going on, he was very rude and asked the workers leave the remaining stuff in the lobby, so I said ok, because I had no more money. In the end I had to borrow $ 75.00 additional to pay more tips to the workers to finish the job.
    This company contacted me, I never contacted them, and they were angels before the move but then turned out to demons when I asked them for help. It Left me all disappointed, no money and a sofa with multiple tears and broken frame. I could make a claim but I won’t because I don’t want to have to do with this company ever again in life, so I warn you, Do not hire them !!!!!!….

    I’m so glad to have found such a reliable company. A One Van Lines team were attentive and knowledgeable about everything I asked, but most of all they were honest. During my delivery, the driver was a little late but they explained that the last few moves took longer than expected and he was running late. I really appreciated the honesty. Most companies would come up with an excuse and never address their mistake. When my driver got here, he was extremely apologetic. Even though he couldn’t control the size of the previous moves and being late was not his fault, he took complete responsibility for the lateness, these guys are great!!

    PLEASE HEED OUR ADVICE. DO NOT HIRE THEM. We hired this company and they have been nothing but horrible to us, our family, and damaged our goods. We moved from NYC to California and the company all the way up to the owner have treated us terribly. Our things showed up 2 weeks late, damaged, and the driver demanded we give him cash instead of the certified check or money order the contract stated. He almost drove away with our things unless my husband ran across the street to the bank and get cash. After our things were delivered and damaged, we mailed a claim form to be reimbursed from our couch being ripped and TV cut on the top…and they have been condescending on the phone and rude. Told us they “don’t care if it takes 6 months before they deal with us.” We also have a baby boy and had to sleep on the floor for a week because they didn’t show up with our things on time. I have NOTHING NICE to say about this company or any of their employees. Susan has been rude. Barbara. Josef. And they stole a tip from my mother in law and have yet to pay back because Josef said “tips were mandatory. We have families”. I am giving the short version because SO much time and energy has been wasted on this company. Please don’t ever use them. I say this to help you, the customer, not have to deal with what we are now dealing with. Thank you for reading and listening.

    Real email sent to manager of this company, A One Van Lines, after my husband and mother in law called and emailed trying to get there complaints heard.



    I have been silent until now, but I can’t hold my tongue anymore.

    Your treatment of my family during this move has been absolutely appalling. This weekend is my first Mother’s Day ever and I have my mother, father and mother in law coming to visit and they have no where to sit or sleep because of your companies incompetence.

    I work in a 5 star 5 diamond hotel and I would be fired immediately if I did just one of the things you and your staff has done in regards to our move…or lack thereof. You say you have gone above and beyond to help us? You haven’t done anything to help us. You haven’t even offered any sort of adjustment in price after all that has happened, that is step one in customer recovery where I work.

    And now you aren’t even showing up within the agreed timeframe!? Our move should be FREE!!

    Your company has done nothing but be dishonest, lazy and promoting massive extortion with your mover Joseph and his practices of over packing and mandatory tip! I also witnessed him demand a mandatory tip with our first move in NYC. Incredible for him to deny anything and to treat my mother in law that way. He now has 3 customer witnesses. You should fire him today. I don’t care what customers you say “personally request him”, he is taking money from them and representing your company, lying and saying its mandatory.

    Unless something drastic in terms of our customer recovery is done today, Friday, I am going to do everything in my power to make sure anyone I know and in my network never uses your company. I am also going to report you to every authority I can with a breakdown of everything that happened.

    We, the customer, have been nothing but accommodating and understanding. YOU should be that to us. Like I said, I work with high end clients all day every day, and your company should have people screaming at you on a daily basis and threatening lawsuits if this is how you always conduct business.

    I want you to do what you say you were going to do and treat us as repeat VIP customers and get your movers to be here TODAY.

    Tomorrow we are planning on celebrating Mother’s Day and instead we are having to wait for your driver to show up with our things!! Unacceptable. I hope no one or no company has ever treated you with such disregard and disrespect, because even though I have such hate for your company and its dealings right now, I don’t wish this on anyone!

    These guys did my move last month. Pick up and delivery was on time. I had a bad experience with another moving company last year when I moved from Florida. This time it has been a splendid moving experience. Thank you A One Vanlines.
